Why "Wild About You, Too!"?

A name defines who your are in the world and it is everything when it is that first impression. When I tell people what the name of my business/blog I always hear that I need a name shorter. I always wonder how people come up with names, slogans, or business titles. Most are extremely creative, whimsical, and self defining. For example: I know a lady at my kiddoes school who is opening a booth at Canton Trades Days and it is called, "No Girls Allowed!" Everywhere we shop there are TONS of cute things for girls. BUT, you never see things for boys! Thus, "No Girls Allowed"...it's all boy stuff. Is that not the cutest name for her business?

When I began thinking about monogramming one of the first things that I tried to do was come up with a cute, catchy, creative name. Don't you just love when the creativity DOESN'T flow fluidly? I would sit in front of the computer for hours just typing in names and nothing seemed to fit. I knew I wanted "wild" somewhere in the name because that is what catagorizes my creativity. The puzzle pieces SLOWLY came together to make the name, Wild About You, Too!. It just popped into my head, but there was really no rhyme or reason for the name.
Don't you just love how God works? Months after I began my VERY SMALL hobby/business my mom sent a small devotional to my daughter who had just been rejected by a club soccer team. Devastated, she read the article and balled as she held the article in her sweet hands while she was in my arms. TALK about heart broken!!! My heart hurt just as much or more!!! After she left the room I found the article that my mom sent her. I read it. Do you know how sometimes when YOU try to put the puzzle together yourself, but there a few puzzle pieces that are missing? Out of no where I felt God handing me the puzzle pieces that I had been looking for.

Here is what my puzzle looked like. Attending a mega-church my pastor's sermons were wonderful. When he came to chapters of people of whom their names were difficult to read, he would just say "hard name, hard name" and skipped over them. In many of the books of the bible Ezra 2, Nehemiah, God listed the specific names of generations of people. Their names were not too hard for Him! He named them and he knew them! Jeremiah 1:5 says, "Before I formed you in the womb I knew you." So, really who am I? What does it really matter what I do or how I live? Who really cares? GOD does! He is fascinated with every little thing about us! God knows the number of hairs on our head and is fascinated by every little thing about us. Even our name! He is WILD ABOUT YOU, TOO!

I never thought that this was possible....I SEWED through my finger!!!! Yes, I nearly fainted as blood gushed out of my finger and all my sweet husband could do was laugh! You would think with all of the safety precautions that these machines have that it could prevent something like this happening. Well, I'm sure it wasn't the machine's fault....it was the operator's fault! :) I guess that's what I get for feeling the crunch of trying to get orders complete and ready to go. I think it's time to go to bed!!!!

I love these Christmas gift bags. They are sturdy and I have green polka-dot and red snowflakes. The green is cute when you use pink lettering or even brown. The red bag is FABULOUS with black lettering! Of course they come with BLING!

My friend, Kathy, ordered several items to be monogrammed for Christmas gifts. LOVE the red snowflake bag with her name on it and some BLING. The bag is $12 and you can add ANYTHING to it or carry it from place to place during the Christmas season! I also monogrammed a yellow polka-dotted lap top bag and a gold/black Christmas tea towel. Christmas tea towels are great gifts to get the season started!!!

All I want for Christmas .........

can fit in these bags!!! :) They are sooo cute! They are very sturdy/durable bags with custom creations on the outside. They are 3D flowers with BLING and a cross. I LOVE these! I have sold several of them. My favorite one is the black/white giraffe with aqua. LOVE, LOVE, LOVE it!!!! Very different!

You probably can't tell, but this is an awesome Christmas gift bag! It comes monogrammed and blinged just waiting for you to fill it with goodies to give as Christmas gifts. I have 2 colors...the green polka dot and red with snowflakes. The green bag does not have to be necessarily for Christmas...It's awesome with a pink monogram. Too cute!

Laura Burton is also going to display her original Christmas Art hangings in my booth during the Christmas Barn Sale. I am so excited because her paintings are fun and whimsical and I can't wait for you to see them! They are fabulous! There will be 2-3 different paintings set up. If you see one that you like you may order it. Because it is a custom creation, YOUR name will be added to the picture.

I have steadily been working on MORE things for the Christmas Barn Sale! Whew! Am I tired, but I have had a blast creating! Here are more pics (closer up) that I would like to share with you that will be at the Barn Sale.

The baby burp cloth that you see with the "L" is ADORABLE!!! I can do any applique any letter and then monogram a name. Then I have other burp cloths that I can just monogram a name if you prefer.

Finally! I get to create some Christmas tea towels. I LOVE making tea towels because they are quick, short and fairly easy to make. I made this tea towel in the Art to Heart class that I go to once a month at Nimble Thimble. If you are interested in sewing something like this...I would love to have you come to class with me. You do not have to be an expert sewer...just bring a sewing machine.

I have sooo many ideas and little time. I have about 3 pages of notes to help me not forget. Of course it would have been nice to not have all of my ideas come to me in the middle of the night. :) I'm so excited because today is a sew day! I will be working on MORE and different tea towels!

I LOVE this blanket! It is sooo soft and just the right size. Isn't the flower CUTE? I thought the embellishments made this blanket much more personal. I can't wait to work on another blanket. Maybe a GCS Cougar blanket?? FUN!

My favorite commercial on tv right now is the commercial advertising back to school supplies. I can hear it in my mind, "It's the MOST WONDERFUL time of the YEAR!" As a former teacher, I remember when I heard that commercial my heart would sink knowing that my "freedom of summer" was about over. HOWEVER, now that I am a stay-at-home wife and mom my heart springs into JOY! :) I have enjoyed my time with my kids but it is always nice to return to a routine and a more normal way of life. This entertainment committee member is TIRED!!

I guess I don't have it that bad for these last few days until school begins (14 to be exact)! My kids went on a 7 day vacation with my parents in their new motorcoach. (Hardly suffering!!) How wonderful to have time ALL TO MYSELF!! (and my hubby of course!) After giving my house a thorough cleaning, you will find me at my sewing machine. I have many projects that I want to create and now I have the TIME to do it!!

I have updated my blog to show the things that I have been working on. I have had a blast! I purchased a software program for my sewing machine that will allow me to do BIGGER and BETTER things! I begin taking a digitizing class on Tuesday, July 7th. I am soo excited! My latest adventure has been quilting. I know, I know this sounds boring; however, the fabrics these days are awesome! I have found myself buying fabric for no apparent reason because they are funky and fabulous with lots of color.

I have been in my study most of the afternoon trying to figure out this site. My son just came in and told me that he wanted me off of the computer because I have not given him the attention that he feels he needs. :) Being a stay-at-home mom I guess I need to get busy and take care of my kids. :)
